Being stuck inside the past few days due to the rain has got us going stir crazy for some fun activities! This color sorting / motor skills activity is GREAT for toddlers.
What you need:
- A box
- 4 different colored sheets of paper
- 4 different colored popsicle sticks to match the colors you chose above (plain popsicle sticks work great too just color both ends the coordinating colors)
- Glue or tape
First take your box and either tape the bottom or fold it. (If your box is deep you'll want to be able to access the inside if any sticks go all the way through)
Cut the colored paper into equal parts to cover the top of the box.
Glue or tape the sheets to the top of box
Cut (or stab) slits into the colored paper. I did about 5 each color but it's up to you :)
Color your sticks to match the paper (if you are using plain colors) or grab your colored popsicle sticks!
Ta-da! You are done!!!! It is such a fun activity for toddlers, while learning colors, and keeping them busy for a while!!
