4 Ways to Earn More with Facebook

By: Ally Lozano, CEO and Founder

Your firm's Facebook for Business page is arguably the most important marketing tool that you have at your disposal. If you use your Facebook page right, you can leverage your page into earning more money for your law firm while at the same time educating and empowering your followers.

Here are 4 tips to help you earn more money through your Facebook for Business page:

1. Do Facebook Live

Facebook Live is a feature on your firm's business page that allows you to broadcast live to your followers. You can jump online any time or day to talk to your followers live. This means that if, for example, you went to court and had a great result, upon leaving the court you can jump online and share about your success. You can even have your client come in to talk about how yu helped him/ her.

I have found success by making it like a TV show and sticking to my broadcast once a week. Here's how it works:

  • Pick a weekly day and time to broadcast live
  • Tell your followers that you are answering questions live
  • Explain to them to leave comments on the video with your questions and you will be able to answer them live
  • Have a topic prepared to discuss in case you don't get a lot of questions and/or to get you started while you are waiting for questions

It takes a little while to get rolling, but a good amount of time to plan to be Live for is about 20-30 minutes. The more regular you are, the more interaction you will get. Plus, the videos stay on your Facebook page after you're live so people can continue to watch, comment, like, and share even when you aren't live anymore.

2. Prepare a Canned Answer for inquiries

The more you use your page, the more inquiries you will receive via private messages and comments. It is important that you have a canned response to respond to these inquiries, otherwise you will spend the majority of your time responding to messages which may or not turn into business for you. By doing Facebook Live and sharing other meaningful, valuable content on your Facebook page, you are doing a great service for the community and providing excellent free information. You do not need to also give free advice per individual message. Plus, doing so will make you burn out and it will make your page unsuccessful for you.

Turn browsers into buyers by using a canned response that will help people pick up the phone and call you.

Something like:
Thank you for your question. Your case interests me and I would like to give it the time that it deserves. The best next step would be to schedule a consultation either by phone or in my office. You can give us a call at _____, or if you'd like to leave your number here, we can call you back to put you on the schedule.

3. Respond to every single interaction

This means to like every comment and respond to every comment on your page in addition to responding to every inbox message. If someone's comment is inappropriate or off-topic, feel free to delete freely. Otherwise, even if someone posts just "hello," make sure to give it a like. If they ask a detailed question, there's an option to click on "message," so click on that, and send them the canned response you created for step 2. Then go back to the comment, "like" it, and respond to it by saying something like, "Thank you so much for your question! We sent you a private message. [phone number]."

Be sure to always put your phone number in each and every response. It seems like overkill, however people constantly ask for your number and also you want to get it out there as much as possible.

4. Boost posts

Boosting a post is a way to pay to make it visible to more people. It is paid advertising. Be sure to know your Ideal Client (link here to the ideal client profile)  and target them very well in the boost. It is a great idea to boost your live videos because it will get more people to like your videos, and then you can go through the likes and individually invite each person to like your page. It is a way to get more viewers for your show, get more people interacting, get more page likes, and eventually get more consultations and clients!
