You won’t have to say “wash your hands before dinner” twice with this fun soap! Here are step by step directions to make a soap egg with a toy surprise in the center. Your kids will love washing their hands in hopes to get to the center and reach their prize for good hygiene.

What you need:

  • Clear bar soap
  • Small toy
  • Easter egg
  • Tape
  • Optional sparkles

Step one:

Melt the soap in the microwave 10 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until the soap is completely melted.

Note: Cut into small cubes to melt more efficiently

Step Two:

Pour the soap into half of the egg.

Note: Start with the part of the egg that fits on the inside when put together (usually the smaller side).

If your egg has the tiny hole on the bottom, be sure to place a little tape over the egg.

Step Three:

Place the toy inside of the egg using the tape to hold the object into position and let cool.

Step Four:

After the first part has cooled, fill the other half of the egg with the soap and put the egg together. Let the whole egg cool.

Step Five:

Carefully open the egg and take out the soap egg.

Tips

  • If you have a clear bar soap without color add a couple drops of food coloring or sparkles to the soap after it is melted.
  • You can also use two different colors, as I did, or one color for the whole egg.
